The story of this organization begins with a boy named Chris Greicius. He was suffering from leukemia, all he wanted to do was becoming a police officer. Tommy Austin, and officer gets everyone on board to make Chris's wish come true. He was only 7 when he died of leukemia. Word had spread of their story soon enough they had gathered people to support them in their first meeting. This marked the beginning of Make a Wish foundation.
The mission statement is to enrich the human experience with hope,strength and joy.

The services offered in this organization is to give children with life threatening conditions an unforgettable experience.
Make a Wish Foundation is funded through donations,fundraisers, or other activities. In the year of 2012 the organization collected approximately $35,226,085 through fundraising. Through donations and contributions $95,646,200 were collected.

Volunteer: There are many different ways to volunteer. You can be a wish granter, office worker,translator, speaker, or staff member. You can sign up for any of these positions of the local website of the organization. Minimum age is 14years and older .
Each year there is a Walk for Wishes , gold tournament, and triathlons.
Make a Wish organization is based locally, state, and internationally. It started off in the state of Phoenix but soon became large enough to become international.
