Malala is a 12 year old girl who sticks up for education around the world.
SHE LIVES IN PAKISTAN.
PAKISTAN IS IN THE MIDDLE EAST .
She had a blog about kids going to school. The taliban(a terrorist group) put a fatwa (a death sentence) on her.
But Malala just wanted to learn so she kept going to school.

Malala won a peace prize for her blog about girls and school.
This made the Taliban angry so they started blowing up schools to make her stop learning. But she did not stop.
When she came home from school one day a Taliban member climbed onto her school truck.
He shot Malala and two of her friends .
Malala was rushed to a hospital in England where they managed to save her from her wound.
When Malala was released from the hospital she wrote a book called "I am Malala"
In 2013 she was nominated for the Nobel peace prize but she didn't win.
She was nominated for the Nobel peace prize again in 2014 and this time won the prize .
