  • You get Malaria from mosquito bites.

  • Numbers vary. The range is from 200 million to 600 million annually depending on your source.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE DEAD FROM MALARIA

  • Since the disease is ancient no one knows how many humans have died from Malaria but we do know over one million people die from malaria per year.

HOW TO SLOW MALARIA

  • Medicines can treat and prevent malaria. One medicine is chloroquine.
  • Another strategy is sleeping being surrounded by mosquito netting.
  • Insect repellant is another strategy to slow the incidence rate of malaria.
  • Avoid mosquito laden areas.

  • Prophylactic drugs to treat and even prevent infection
  • Indoor residual spraying- spray poison on walls where Mosquitos like to rest
