MALARIA IN AFRICA🐜

ALSO CALLED: PLASMODIUM INFECTION

PLASMODIUM INFECTION

  • A disease caused by a plasmodium parasite,transmitted by the bite of an infected mosquito.

HOW IT SPREADS:

  • When animal or insect bites or stings you.

SYMPTOMS OF MALARIA

  • Diarrhea or vomiting
  • Whole body symptoms: malaise,sweating,nausea,fever,night sweats,shivering,dizziness,chills,or fatigue
  • Also common: headache,yellow skin and eyes,mental confusion,,,pallor,shortness of breath,or fast heart rate.

TREATMENTS

  • Some of the treatments that can be treated by malaria are quinidine,hydrochloride
  • Antibiotics: clindamycin by mouth or injection.

HOW THIS DISEASE AFFECT AFRICA

  • Malaria is caused by blood parasites transmitted from person to person. And through the bites of infected Mosquitos. Absence of prompt effective treatment, malaria often causes death.

HOW MALARIA AFFECTS THE BODY

  • A parasite passes from the blood into the liver where it reproduces and changes its form. After a period of 1-4 weeks in the liver the malaria parasite re enters the blood and begins to infect the red blood cells, this process of reproduction and destroying red blood cells results in a build up of toxins and debris in the blood.
