Food

Malians diet are Millet,rice,and corn. A thick porridge called tô is prepared using millet,corn, or sorghum flour and is dipped in a peanut,vegetable,or meat sauce.Dégé, a traditional sugary porridge,is also eaten.

Clothing
Men wear silver jewelry and women wear gold. In rural areas and some urban areas, Malians wear bogolan, a traditional cloth dyed in mud.

Major sports
The most popular sport in Mali is soccer,but they call it football. Basketball,handball, tennis,volleyball,martial arts, and cycling are also enjoyed in some urban Malians.

Family tradition
Daughters live with their parents until marriage. After marriage, young women have to live with the husbands family.

French is the official language of the government offices and at school.

Mali’s flag colors are green, yellow, and red. Green represents nature, yellow represents purity and minerals, and red stands for the blood that was shed for independence.

95% of Malians are Muslim and 2% are Christian.
