PRESENTATION OUTLINE

THE MANATEE

Diet
Their diet is only plants, so they are classified as herbivores. Their split lip and flippers help them successfully capture and manipulate the food into their mouths.

Manatees have four rows of teeth that they use to grind up their food instead of swallowing it whole.

Manatees live in slow moving rivers, bays, canals, and coastal areas.
