PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Manawatu Gorge

Manawatu Gorge slip

It was a three hour drive from where we were. Not a single part of the drive was boring.

When we drove past the slip we thought it was a lot smaller than in the pictures we had seen.

When we got to our destination Mr stove told us all the safety proportions and what to do and where we will be going.

It was hard to hear him because of all of the trucks going past would pull the horn.

We started walking next to the road and then we went down some stairs under the bridge.

There was a small waterfall under the bridge and it looked really cool.

From then on it was just walking and walking and walking.

But it was a nice walk because there were a lot of cool plants on either side of us like silver ferns.

At the next stop there was a statue made out of thin metal and it had a maori pattern all over it.

About fifty meters away from the statue was the slip, and it was huge from the top

We then went back up to the statue and ate our lunch and had a toilet brake.

We then carried on our walk through the trees and the sloppy mud.

It was cold when we were out in the open but it got really hot when we in the trees because the trees would block the wind of for us.

The next stop was at the wind turbine farm. They were a lot bigger up close.

There were a pack of cows and they would watch us carefully but when we got close they ran away.

We stayed at the wind farm for about ten minutes to have a brake, take photos and talk.

From then on we had another long walk down windy, muddy, wet and slippery track.

After the long walk we came to the end. We sat down on the bench and took off our shoes.
