Jeffery Magee, also known as 'Maniac Magee' was an orphan at three years old. He was sent to be lived with his Aunt Dot and Uncle Dan in western Pennsylvania. He went the spring musicale ,yet never returned to the house nor the school. He was found in Two Mills after leaving Hollidaysburg.

Maniac Magee's life might've been normal if his parents wouldn't have been in a trolly accident when he was three years old. After that happen, he became an orphan. He lived with his angry, uptight aunt and uncle for eight years. After eight years of his aunt and uncle fighting, he runs. But he didn't run away, he just ran..
This is where the myth of Maniac Magee starts. This is where he changes lives in a small town with his amazing feats.
