• An assembly line builds things like cars or phones. Most things are made out of many parts like phones and cars,
• So assembly lines put the pieces together to make these things.

METHODS OF ASSEMBLY

• The two methods of assembly are bonding and mechanical fastening .

TYPES OF BONDING

• Fusion bonding
• Flow bonding
• Pressure bonding

• Pressure bonding uses pressure and heat to bond things together.

MECHANICAL FASTENERS

• Fasteners use mechanical forces to hold parts together.
• Fasteners are the most widely used method to hold parts together.

MATERIAL JOINTS

• Joints- where parts meet.
• Parts can be connected at joints.
• Joints make the strength of materials increase.
