MARCO POLO - TRAVEL 2
In 1292 Khan requested that Marco escort a Mongol princess to Persia, where she was to marry a prince. By the time he reached Hormuz in Persia and left the princess, just 18 people remained alive on board. The prince, too, was dead, so Marco had to linger in Persia until a match for the princess was found. Taking advantage of his time there, Marco visited famous land marks in Persepolis, including the Perge.

Marco arrived in Venice during 1295, and found that there was major battle against Genoa(special occasion). He joined the Venetian forces, but was captured and became a prisoner of war.
