  • South America is the continent of Chile.
  • The countries around it are Argentina, Bolivia, and Perú.
  • The body of water around Chile is the Pacific Ocean

  • Has 1,080 volcanoes.
  • 500 years ago, Inca Empire of Perú spread south to Chile.
  • Chile came from an Indian word Chilli which means land runs out.

PEOPLE/LIFESTYLE

  • Population: 17,216,945.
  • Some people like to play sports like Soccer, Tennis, skiing, etc.

CULTURE

  • Food: empanadas, pastries, congrio,and asado.
  • Language: Spanish, but people in Chile call it Castellano.
  • Holidays: Armed Forces Day, La Vigen del Carmen.
