Marjorie wrote another book called Cross Creek.IT IS ABOUT A TRUE PLACE IN FLORIDA CALLED CROSS CREEK.

Marjorie was born August 8, 1896 Washhington,D.C.
When she was six she decided she wanted to be a writer.

Marjorie began writing at an early age and started publishing letters and award-winning short stories in the Washington Post when she was fourteen years old.

Marjorie's father died in 1913, and the family moved to Wisconsin, where Rawlings attended the University of Wisconsin.

14 of December 1953 She died in Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine and was buried in Antioch Cemetery, near Island Grove, Florida.

Marjorie wrote and became famous and the region of northern Florida she wrote about became famous,too.

Marjorie died of a cerebral hemorrhage in Flagler Hospital. She was taken ill in the morning of December 13 1953 she died at age 57.
