Summer (left) and Celeste (right) are running into many issues because of the U.S Army and the DOMA. The military does not recognize their relationship making it impossible for the to receive rights and protections as a couple such as joint spouse housing and Social Security. With that not being the only issue, they have an daughter together and the military does not recognize the child as Celeste's daughter. Denying her health insurance.

Denied Rights; a guy has been with his partner for a very long time however, his spouse has been in and out of hospital care. Once the hospital, and nurses had caught that they were partners, he was denied the right to see his partner in the hospital. In fact, security guards wouldn't even allow him to step foot into the hospital doors.
