MARRIAGE IN GODS PLAN

WHY DID GOD CREATE MARRIAGE

• He designed marriage to meet our need of companionship
• To provide an illustration of our relationship with him
• In genesis it says it is not good for man to be alone
• The only thing god created and says that was not good is lonliness

A GOD DESIGNED MARRIAGE

• He knows best how to operate the mariage
• Marriage is a triangle with god at the top
• Broken marriages occur from one partner moving away from god
• The woman is a missing part of a man

MARRIAGE IS TO MEET OUR NEED FOR COMPANIONSHIP

• to fulfill our need for companionship, marriage must be a primary, permanent, exclusive, and intimate relationship.
• Companionship requires that marriage be a primary relationship. God did not create a father and mother for Adam, nor a child, but a wife
• Companionship requires that marriage be a permanent relationship
• Marriage must be completely buitlt off commitment

CONCLUSION

• lifelong relationship must be centered on God, so that it will reflect to the world a picture of Christ and the church
• By God’s grace and your commitment, you can have a marriage that both honors Him and meets your needs
