  • Marsupials are an infraclass of mammals living primarily in Australia. Most of the young are carried in a pouch.

KOALAS

  • Less than 80,000 koalas today.
  • They are herbivores.
  • They are found in the eucalyptus forests in eastern Australia.
  • They sleep up to 18 hours a day.

KANGAROOS

  • 50-60 million kangaroos left today.
  • Because of their large feet they can't walk normally.
  • They are herbivores.
  • They can be as small as a Lima bean when born.

  • There are roughly 30 different species of wallaby.
  • They are herbivores.
  • They cannot hop backwards.
  • They are nocturnal.

OPOSSUMS

  • 23 different species.
  • They are omnivores.
  • They are nocturnal.
  • Mainly found in eastern Australia.

  • They are herbivores.
  • They are nocturnal.

  • They are carnivores.
  • The size of a small dog.
  • Most of them don't live longer than 5 years.
  • It stores its body fat in its tail, a healthy devil will have a fat tail.
