MARTIN LUTHER KING

BIRTH/FAMILY

• King jr. Was born Janurary 15, 1929 in Atlanta Georgia
• He was the middle child of Michael king and Alberta king
• He was born in a financially secure middle class family
• He was baptized in 1936

EDUCATION

• 1944 he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School
• He started to attend the Morehouse College
• After he graduates he enrolls in the Boston University
• There he meets his future wife Correta Scott
• After martin graduates they settle in Montgomery, Alabama

MARRIAGE

• On June 18,1953 martin and correta get married
• It had took six whole months before correta accepted his marriage proposal
• Martin and correta had four children
• There four kids were Yolanda ,Martin luther 3, Dexter,and Bernice

FAMOUS SPEECH

• Martin's speech had a great impact on Americans
• On August 28, 1963 he made his famous speech "I Have A Dream"
• He eneded the racial discrimination
• And his accomplishments are now taught to American children

DEATH

• Martin had recieved alot of death threats
• Unfortunately he was assassinated in 1968
• His life and work have been honored with a national holiday
• His body lies in the National Historic site
