Lord Baltimore\ George Calvert

• George Calvert was born in 1579.
• In 1621 he joined English Parliment.
• After that, in 1625 he was named Baron of Baltimore and became known as Lord Baltimore.
• In 1632 he got sick and sent his son Leonard Calvert to the colonies with 300 Cathloic settlers.

• Maryland is 250 miles long.
• And it is 90 miles wide.
• There are 9,837 sq. miles of land area in total.

Economy
The Maryland colonists sold things like tobacco, cotton, corn, vegetables, grain, fruit and livestock.

Religion
The Maryland religions included Baptism, Catholicism, Anglicanism and a few others.
