Slide Notes

The Mathstrainers website originated as the support site for my apps.

With my latest app (mathshare) it presents link pages to many educational resources on the Internet.

Learning maths in school is all about passing exams and reaching levels of attainment.

Synonymous with my mathstrainers pro app, the website attempts to create a source of exploration in mathematics without the formality of school direction.

The learning zone has been structured with the unstructured educator (e.g. Parent) in mind.

MORE THAN A WEBSITE

APPS

I HAVE OVER 20 ON APPLE STORE
My apps relate mainly to education. Typically practice or drill apps.

The cheapest ones are single page entities, originally developed using Adobe Flash so that they could be freely used in class, as a fill-in activity.

The likes of 'mathstrainers pro' has a lot of functionality built in with professional tuition of children in mind.

My best sellers are: piano chords (reference), piano blues (practice) and of my maths-related ones probably Logarithm Trainer.

I have also tried entering the social media arena with pixwap (useful for sharing pictures quickly and easily).

Although I'm a qualified maths teacher my main experience is in Software Engineering which allows me to create well-tested and well thought out apps.

LEARNING ZONE

ALSO LINKED FROM MATHSHARE APP
The learning zone has over 60 pages of links throughout the Internet to useful resources.

Used in conjunction with the mathshare app, find resources quickly, then share them instantly.

Mathshare is built from the pixwap engine to enable sharing of visual and web resources in an efficient manner.
