CONTENTS

  • Speed
  • Average Speed
  • Velocity
  • Acceleration
  • Net Force

SPEED

  • Speed is how far an object can go in a certain amount of time
  • Speed=Distance divided by time.
  • 0.4 Miles in 8 Minutes = 0.05Mpm
  • Did you know sound can travel 5 times faster in water?

AVERAGE SPEED

  • Average speed is the average rate at which an object is going
  • Average Speed=Total Distance Divided by Total Time
  • 10 Miles in 45 minutes=22 miles an hour
  • Did you know the average speed of a skydiver is 124mph?

VELOCITY

  • Velocity is the speed at which an object is falling in a certain direction
  • Velocity=Distance Divided By Time
  • A bus driving 15m/s south
  • Did you know that the velocity on Earth is 25,000 miles per hour?

ACCELERATION

  • Acceleration is rate at which the velocity changes over time
  • Acceleration=Velocity Divided by Time
  • 6.7 m/s in 12 seconds=O.56m/s
  • Did you know that the Acceleration of free fall on the moon is 1.6 m/s

NET FORCE

  • Net force is the combination of all forces acting on an object
  • Net Force= Fnet + F1 + F2 + F3...
  • 25 N + 20 N = 45 N
  • Did you know that when in object is in rest it stays at rest till -
  • An unbalanced force hits it?
