• Jesus warns agaisnt hypocrasy
• He tells us not to give alms just for attention
• If we give in secret, God will see us and repay us

MATTHEW 6:16-18

• Again, he warns against hypocrasy
• When we fast, we should fast discreetly
• God will see what you are doing and will repay you

NOW WHAT?

• Social media plays a big role in today's socitey
• Especially for teens, when we want to make a good impression
• We have to learn to keep things private
• And not brag about our good works

NOW WHAT? (CON.)

• Instead, we should encourage others to do good
• Without drawing attention to ourselves
• Doing good is not a competition

IF WE LIVED OUT THIS TEACHING

• Doing good would be more about helping others
• And less about giving ourselves a social boost
• And if we encourage others,
• We can achieve more
