How much do you really know about Max Ernst?
He is a German painter who was a "pioneer in the Dada movement and Surrealism". For Ernst he relied on spontaneity or an images or material's juxtaposition and subjectivity to create the ideal abstract expression. He is though well known for his use of collage paintings with irrational combinations. This was his focus point when it came to painting. The paintings of Chirico is what inspired his dream-like and fantastic imagery. And because of all his success he achieved he became one of the leading surrealist painters. His artistic technique added a certain type or amount of abstractness to the textures displayed in his paintings. He as well as influenced by a Van Gogh and Macke.
