Advanced Kinesiology Semester 1 Portfolio-Kasey Yap- Period 5

5 components of fitness

  • Cardiovascular endurance- running, walking, swimming, biking
  • Muscular Strength- bench press, push ups, pull ups, dead lifting
  • Muscular Endurance- pull ups, squats, push ups, sit ups
  • Flexibility- trunk lift, shoulder stretch, sit and reach, quad stretch
  • Body Composition- BMI, diets, vitamins, other body essentials

Volleyball

  • spiking & setting
  • hit with base of thumbs, not wrist
  • shuffle movement with a strong & wide base when recieving

Ultimate frisbee

  • Be aware of surroundings at all times
  • Throws: forward hand, back hand & hammer
  • Use pivoting techniques to make passing to teammates easier
  • Always make sure reciever is looking at you to avoid injury
