WHO WAS JOSEPH MCCARTHY?
- He was elected to the United States senate in 1946.
- He charged 205 people who he thought were communists.
- He became paranoid from the communism in Eastern Europe and China.

WHAT IS MCCARTHYISM?
McCarthyism is making accusations of disloyalty or treason without any evidence.

WHAT WERE THE RESULTS?
- The president at the time disagreed with McCarthy.
- More than 2000 govt. employees lost their jobs.
- National paranoia was capitalized.
WHO STOLE THE COOKIE FROM THE COOKIE JAR
- This picture makes sense to me because it's about accusing somebody.
- A young child would most likely be accused for stealing the cookie.
- It could be some one else besides the child!
