MOVEMENT

  • A white tailed deer has four legs.
  • They also have four hooves.
  • The hooves have two points in front and a rounded back.

REPRODUCTION

  • The female deer has live birth.
  • The female doe usually has twins.
  • That means she has two babies at a time.

SENSITIVITY

  • The buck has a rack of antlers .
  • Those antlers are used to mark territory.
  • All genders also sport big ears.
  • These ears allow deer to have sensational hearing.

NUTRITION

  • Leaves,twigs,fruit,trees,shrubbery,folage and herb aceoes.
  • They also eat seeds,fungi,mosses,succulet,grasses,farm crops,snails and fish.

EXCRETION

  • Deer usually waste carbon dioxide.
  • They also release digestive wastes.
  • This is an example of deer scat.

RESPERATION

  • White tailed deer have lungs.
  • That means that they breath in & out.

LIFE CYCLE

  • In spring babies are born as a twosome
  • A young child is one year old and stays with its mother
  • An adolescent isa old enough to breed and is 1 1/2 years old.
  • A grow doe and a buck then have babies in the spring.
  • That brings us back to the first stage of a deers life cycle
