Variability tells us how data is spread out.

Vocabulary

  • Variability- describes how data is spread out
  • Range: biggest-smallest #'s in data set
  • Median: the middle # of the data set - aka. the second quartile
  • First Quartile: the median of the lower half of data set
  • Third Quartile: the median of the upper half of the data set
