I would love to share about meerkats. They stand on there two front legs. Meerkats know what to do when they see a predator. They show there teeth and hiss. It might scare the predator and sometimes they just hide. There babies are called cubs like a tiger cub but, just a different animal. They belong to the mongoose family.

A group of meerkats is called a mob,gang and clans. A meerkat mob often contains about 20 meerkats. The average life span of a meerkat is about 6 to 7 years old.

Meerkats fed on insects but, they also eat snakes, lizards, scorpions, spiders, and grubs. When the mob is eating, one meerkat stands guard. When a predator is spotted, the meerkat who is standing guard barks or whistles to warn the others.

The main animals that prey on meerkats are martial eagles, tawny eagles, and jackals. Meerkats sometimes die from a snake bite from confrontations with snakes. Meerkats get scared if someone chases it.
