PRESENTATION OUTLINE

THE GREAT LEAP FORWARD!

BY: MEGAN WEIGLE.

INTRODUCTION:

Between the years 1958-1969, Mao Zedong ordered death for citizens for economic & cultural reasons. There are estimates that approximately 70 million people were killed during that time period.

WHATS GOING ON??

Mao murdered his victims by working, starving, beating or hanging them to death. The Great Leap Forward started in 1958 in china and ended somewhere in 1963.

THIS PROBLEM BEGAN WHEN...

The underlying cause if the Great Leap Forward were economic and cultural reasons, it began when Mao thought China would industrialize on its own. Mao murdered many if his victims because the believed they we're not working hard enough to help China industrialize.

WHY DO YOU NEED MONEY?

The murdering of people because they could be in the way or something is a genocide because it is killing many people who got 10-45 miles in the way of his work. It is shocking how much Mao actually took from the Chinese people and that he killed 20-30 people for getting in the way. Shockingly, Zedong was only trying to help China but it turned the other way and failed. I believe these facts show that the Great Leap Forward genocide is in need of immediate financial aide cause Zedong meant no harm.
