Each chromosomes duplicates.
Each chromosomes is visible under a microscope.
Each duplicated chromosome comes near its duplicated mate.
3.
METAPHASE I
Pairs of duplicated chromosomes line up in the center of the cell.
Centromere of each chromatid is attached to the spindle fibers.

ANAPHASE I
The cytoplasm divides and two new cells form.
5.
MEIOSIS II
6.
PROPHASE II
Duplicated chromosomes and spindle fibers reappear in new cell.
7.
METAPHASE II
Duplicated chromosomes move to the center of the cell.
8.
ANAPHASE II
The centromere divides.
The chromatids separate and move to opposite ends of the cell.
Each chromatid now is an individual chromosome.
