• The british were in control of kenya from1888-1962
• Became an offical colony in 1920
• Current day Kenya was known as the Kenya colony
• This Is the flag of the Kenya colony

• Small consumer goods
• Agricultural products, horticulture, oil refining; aluminium, steel
• plastic, furniture, batteries, textiles, clothing, soap, cigarettes, flour

INDEPENDANCE

• Independance was gained in December 1963
• No war was took part in the independance
• Got help for independance from first prime minister, Jomo Kenyatta

MODERN DAY KENYA

• Struggling to find fresh water daily
• Women are forced to walk many miles to find water
• Because of lack of water laivestalk and agricultre are greatly affected
• Starvation is common among local people
