THE WHEEL MADE IT EASIER TO TRANPORT THINGS ON THE LAND AND EASIER TO USE A PLOW

CALANDER

THE MESOPOTAMIAN CALANDER WAS USED TO KEEP TRACK OF DATES

CUNEIFORM

  • Cuneiform is the mesopotamian alphabet
  • It is done by cutting wedge shape marks in damp clay
  • They used it to communicate

SAILBOAT

  • The sailboat was used to travel the rivers
  • As well transport things of trade on them

CODE OF HAMMURABI

  • This is the earliest known written legal code
  • Written by Hammurabi the ruler of Babylon
  • It was developed in 1780 B.C.

IRRIGATION

  • Irrigation is used to water crops
  • They would usually take the water from a larger water source
  • Ex. Lakes, rivers, ponds

NUMBER SYSTEM

  • The number system was based on the number 60
  • Ex. 60-minute hour, 60-second minute, and 360-degree circle
