MESOPOTAMIANS PEOPLE

  • Mesopotamians used the rivers to grow crops
  • Mesopotamians from the south used the river water to carry water to there irrigation
  • Mesopotamian engineers had no real natural help from gravity in moving water without altering the terrain
  • Canals carried water from the river or the marsh to a reservoir where it could be stored until needed
  • Mesopotamia was inundated with a large amount of silt the area did not supply enough rain so irrigation was needed
