What is it?
* It is a drug used to reduce withdraw symptoms in people addicted to heroin and other narcotic drugs.

* It also is a pain reducer.


* It is only available from certified pharmacies.

How it works

  • Belongs to the Opioid family of drugs
  • Occupies brain receptors affected by opiates
  • Blocks the euphoric and sedating effects

How it's used

  • Used as a tablet, pill, or injection
  • Should be taken once a day
  • Should only be in use when prescribed

Effects on brain

  • Short term:
  • Used to treat addictions
  • Long term:
  • Can possibly affect nerve cells
  • Can lead to addiction if used more than prescribed

side effects

  • Weak or shallow breathing
  • Dizzieness
  • Increased sweating
  • Vometing
