The Main Classroom Portable got burned down in 1906.
The first building was torn down in 1924 and was replaced by a bigger, better one.
The school was completely turned over to the government in 1940.

They turned it into the Coqualeetza Sanatorium Hospital in 1941-1969.
The Sto:lo partly took over in 1970 and fully took over in 1997.

They never beat the kids or abused them
They didn't just do chores and learning, they got to farm.
They had time to play on Saturdays.
This school was not too bad because native ids could do their own crafts and speak their own language and some parents could come and visit.

(1940) The government completely took over the building and the land.

(2017) Today it is now a Cultural Center for Native People.
