  • On September 16, 1810,Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, a progressive priest, Became a father of Mexican independence. The Old 300

  • Stephan f. Austin led 300 Mexican people into Texas
  • Some Mexicans brought slaves to help with farming
  • This was said to be the origin to Texas colonists

The law Of April 6th

  • The Law of April 6th was designed to stop the non-stop flood of immigrants coming to Texas.
  • In result, the law stimulated trade for Texas for 4 years
  • The law also forbid any other Mexicans bring slaves into Texas
  • The law forbid any slavery and stop immigrants from coming to Texas

  • The colonists were not too happy about this law
  • however, they created protests in hopes to change the law
  • In result, the African Americans would remain slaves and any other slavery would be ban

The Mexican War

  • the Mexican war is also known as"Guerra De 1847" or "Guerra De Estados Unidos a Mexico" which means War of the United States against Mexico
  • The U.S forces were constantly victorious against the Mexican forces
