PRESENTATION OUTLINE

MEDIEVAL AGE

THE SO CALLED "DARK AGE"

ROME FALLS

  • Rome "fell" in 476 a.d.
  • No one was in charge anymore. It left a power vacuum.
  • Different leaders in different parts of the world took over.
  • These places would eventually be known as countries.

EUROPE

  • Most of Europe used a feudal system.
  • The feudal system is a political system in a pyramidal form.
  • At the top is the king. At the bottom the peasants.
  • In the middle are the nobles.

THE FEUDAL SYSTEM

  • The peasants work for the nobles.
  • Most of what they do and make is for the nobles. Very little for themselves.
  • The nobles let the peasants work the land.
  • The nobles give money and soldiers to the king.
  • The king gives land to the nobles.

Then something happened that changed everything.

People got treated better, were paid better and had more time.
