WHAT WAS THE MIDDLE PASSAGE?

THE MIDDLE PASSAGE AS THE CROSSING FROM AFRICA TO AMERICA.

WHY WAS IT CALLED THE MIDDLE PASSAGE?

  • Because During the era of the slave trade, the trade was a three step process.
  • Because it was the second passage of the cycle and became the middle passage.
  • Because from europe to africa with trade.
  • Because the slaves were obtained were then transferred to Africa to the new world so they could be sold.

A LOT WAS INVOVLED BUT MAINY SLAVES.EUROPE , AFRICA, & WEST INDIANS.

HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE AFFECTED?

  • Their were more then 100 slaves that were affected in the middle passage.

HOW MANY WEEKS WAS THE TRAVEL ROUTE?

  • For weeks some months or even a year.

IS THERE MAP OF THE TRAVEL ROUTE?

  • Yes,because they traded their goods.
  • Also,because they traded slaves.

  • Ships were varied as greatly in size.
