PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1.
MY MIDTERM PROJECT PROCESSB
PRESENTED BY: MEGAN CLINE
2.
1ST STEP
Draw geometric shapes.
Pick your favorite shapes, then put them together is a geometric mass sketch.
3.
2ND STEP
Draw a net on Chipboard
A net is a 3D shape you draw on 2D surfaces, in order to fold it later on.
4.
3RD STEP
Cut out the net you drew on Chipboard.
5.
4TH STEP
Fold you net on the lines you scored with your exto-blade.
The second part to this step is to add tape, so the mass will stay together.
6.
5TH STEP
Add your individual 3D geometric masses together to create a miniature sculpture.
A miniature sculpture is also known as a maquette, this can be compared to a rough draft before a final essay.
7.
6TH STEP
Start your final sculpture by tripling or doubling the measurements you used on the maquette's.
Then repeat the same processes you used for the maquette.
8.
7TH STEP
After you have repeated all the steps from making the maquette, you plaster you new 3D shape.
9.
8TH STEP
For this step you are going to paint your 3D mass.
To paint the first layer, you are going to add lots of water to your paint.
You do this in order to get in all the nooks, specially if you have texture.
The paint you choose should be solid.
10.
THE LAST STEP!!
Your going to dry brush your mass.
Make sure you pick a color that is going to make it stand out.
To dry brush you don't add water, next take a big brush dip it in paint.
Then rub it on paper till its not a solid stream and lightly go over your sculpture.
Now your done!!!! (The purple is the dry brush)
11.
A FEW THING TO KEEP IN MIND!
Craftsmen ship is everything.
Exto-blade's are shap.
