  • the mimic octopus is about 60 cm to 2 ft.
  • its tentacles grow to be 62 cm (25 in long).
  • it has the shape of a ship.

physical adaptations

  • Camouflage: attract or scare away prey.
  • Able to changed its color and shapes its 8 legs to look like spines.
  • it can act as a jelly fish.

behavioral adaptations

  • uses a jet of water through its funnel to glide over the sand while searching for prey.
  • mimicry they take on the characteristics of the multiple species.
