The first set of strategies, I want to equip you with are strategies for your mindset. As I explained earlier, the first battle you have to win if you want to win in Network marketing, is the battle in your mind. The following strategies should be an integral part of your day. Not something you do once in a while. every day.

Affirmations

What Are Affirmations

Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words composing the affirmation, automatically and involuntarily, bring up related mental images into the mind, which could inspire, energize and motivate. Repeating affirmations, and the resultant mental images, affect the subconscious mind, which in turn, influences the behavior, habits, actions and reactions.

What Affirmations Do?

They motivate.
They keep the mind focused on the goal.
They influence the subconscious mind and activate its powers.
They change the way you think and behave, and this can bring you into contact with new people, who can help you with your goals.
Positive statements make you feel positive, energetic and active, and therefore, put you in a better position to transform your inner and external worlds.

What do sales meeting and pep rallies have in common? take away the pompoms they are both meant to motivate the teams, to stimulate group enthusiasm by rousing talks, songs, cheers,etc. Why? They are designed to inspire confidence and enthusiasm. because enthusiasm wins sales and championships.
Sales is the most lucrative profession in the world but it is also the most draining psychologically and therefore keeping yourself and your team motivated and inspired should really be a priority.
Unfortunately, most of us have neither the time nor skills required to write & deliver weekly or daily inspirational pep talks to our team. but you can do something better
Why not give yourself a pep talk?
it’s less complicated than you think. All you have to do is sell yourself to yourself and practice complimenting yourself on a daily basis. You are who you think you are so Think more of yourself.

Sell Yourself to Yourself

DAILY
Think about this, the biggest and oldest brands never stop selling themselves to us. they are consistently reminding us why they are around and that they are the best. it’s not that we don’t know that coca cola and Pepsi exist and what thet tastes like, but their marketing won’t allow us to forget. they don’t want you to become lukewarm and indifferent to their products. Same thing in a relationship, just because you’re married doesn’t mean you stop selling to your spouse on why they picked you in the first place. You resell yourself by keeping up your appearance, by the little things you do for each other, the kiss, the love notes, the date nights, you got to keep it alive.right? but what do I know? I know marketing, so let’s go back to that. Bottom line, You need to be sold on you. you are your most important product. If you feel small and indifferent it’s only because you’ve allowed yourself to feel this way not because it is your reality.
You are a first -class person, a self standing, upright and very capable individual. So let’s focus on building honest and sincere belief in yourself

Create your 60-sec commercial

  • State it in the Present Tense
  • Be Specific
  • Keep it simple
  • Make it practical
  • Be honest
Here’s a quick checklist to create Your own 60-second commercial:
Is it stated in the present tense? The point is creating for your subconcious mind a picture of youalready having accomplished your goal
Is it specific? State the details. Remember nothing becomes dynamic until it becomes specific
Is it easy to use? use simple words that paint clear pictures in your mind
Is it practical? Don’t program yourself from frustration and failure by demanding miracles of yourself right from the start.. Stretch your limits, reach for your highest expectations, but let them be planted in solid ground
Is it personal & honest? don’t beat around the bush, be bold and ask for what you truly want.

Have fun creating your affirmations and read them out loud every day in front of a mirror. Better yet, make a recording for yourself and listen to it several times a day,

Self-Talk

Mind your Thoughts
I first learned about self from the book by Shad Helmstetter titled, "What to say when you talk to yourself". and I have ever since used his self-talk method to reprogram my attitude and change my behaviors.

Here's what the good Dr had to say:

We talk to ourselves all of the time. Self talk can either be in spoken words or unspoken thoughts. It can take the form of feelings, impressions, or even wordless physical responses, the clutch in the stomach that comes when we are surprised or afraid, or the rush that comes with excitement or joy.

Most of our self-talk is unconscious; we are not even aware of it. At times our self-talk comes in feelings that can’t quite be put into words.

The more you think about yourself in a certain way, the more you will think about yourself in that same certain way! The more you think about anything in a certain way, the more you will believe that that is how it really is.

I can’t remember names.
It’s just no use!
I just know it won’t work!
Nothing ever goes right for me.
That’s just my luck.
I don’t have the talent.
I’m just not creative.
I can’t seem to get organized.
Today just isn’t my day!
I can never afford the things I want.
I already know I won’t like it.

Here are just a few examples of frequently used negative self-talk.
Do you say any of these yourself?

The scary thing is that the human brain will do anything possible you tell it to do,
if you tell it often enough and strongly enough!

That's why it is absolutely imperative that you turn any negative self-talk into positive Self-Talk. With a little practice, it's fairly easy to do.
For example Change the words “I wish I had more time,” to the words “I make time and I take time to do what I need to do.”
Instead of “Today has been a tough day,” Reshape the thought into “Today was fine. I feel good about myself. And tomorrow will be even better!”
The self-statement, “Things aren’t going very well for me at work,” can easily be changed to, “I enjoy my work. I understand the problems and I get past them.”

Using Self-Hypnosis
to Achieve
Your Goals

Have you ever seen old horror films and television programmes that portray hypnosis as a frightening instrument of mind control ?
Perhaps you have seen stage shows where a hypnotist seems to be able to use their “hypnotic powers” to make people do and say things that they would never do or say under normal conditions. If so, it is not surprising that hypnosis may seem just a little bit wacky and mystical. This is unfortunate because hypnosis is not mysterious at all.

  • Mind control
  • Brain-washing
  • Sleep
  • Unconsciousness
  • A peculiar altered state
  • A mystical state
The state of hypnosis can best be described as a state of highly focused attention with heightened suggestibility. Hypnosis is sometimes but not always accompanied by relaxation. When hypnosis is self-induced it is often referred to as self-hypnosis.
Self-hypnosis is often used to modify behaviour, emotions and attitudes. Self-hypnosis can boost confidence and even help people develop new skills. A great stress and anxiety reliever, it can also be used to help overcome habits such as smoking and overeating.

Athletes can enhance their performance with self-hypnosis, so can network marketers.

Daily Mindset Routine

So how do I incorporate all those mindset strategies into my day?
Even before my feet touch the floor in the morning, I read my affirmations on my vision board conveniently located next to my bed or I listen to my own audio recording of myself reading them outloud on my phone.
While I’m walking to work I listen to 1 track of Self Talk. I fall asleep every night listening the the self hypnosis series. That way my mind stays fresh, filled with positivity. Does that mean, I don’t have bad days? Of course not! I do like everybody else. But when I’m down, I know what to do to pick myself back up and it’s not dependent on an upline or a motivational speaker.
