- First, His death was entirely voluntary.
- His death was a work, in that by His death Christ paid the penalty of our sin.

The resurrection of Christ is the keystone of the Christian Faith. Without His resurrection, the death of Christ would have no meaning, for the resurrection proved the effectiveness of His death and gave it value.

REASONS WHY THE RESURRECTION IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE TO US
- It shows that Christ's work as the sinner's subtitute has been accepted.
- The resurrection confirms the deity of our Lord.
- By virtue of His resurrection, Christ becomes our High Priest in the presence of God.
