  • Important for growth and maintenance of the body
  • They help regulate your metabolism

  • If you have too few minerals you can damage the body.
  • (Body means all systems: skeletal, respiratory, etc.)
  • Having too many minerals can be harmful.
  • (Example: Drinking too many phosphates can weaken bones)

COME AND GET IT

  • Minerals are found in almost all foods.
  • Vegetables, fruits, and grains are good sources.
  • A balanced diet can help prevent deficiency problems.

BOTTOM LINE

  • Minerals are required in daily life.
  • Without minerals our bone structure could not support our bodies.
