2.
MINERALS HAVE FOUR CHARACTERISTICS
A mineral can be so small you need a microscope to see it
3.
MINERALS
Minerals are formed by natural process.
Every type of mineral can be form in nature by the ocean,
nature, and the years.
4.
FORMS IN NATURE
Minerals form in very many ways.
Halite can form when water evaporates in a very shallow part of some ocean,
Leaving behind the salt it contained of the mineral.
Many types of minerals when molton rocks cool sometimes, and did you know
Talc, is a mineral that can be crushed and used to make baby powder.
5.
SOLID
Did you know that minerals is a solid-that is, it has difinite fouls and a
rigid shape, rigid means it's not pliant or flexible, and feels just like metal
A substance that is a liquid or a gas, those things are not a mineral.
And however in so e cases it's solid form is a mineral as example, liquid
water is not, but ice is.
6.
DEFINITE CHEMICAL COMPOSITION
Each mineral has a definite chemical make up the meaning for that is, it's consists
of a specific combination of atoms of certain elements.
An element is a substance that contains only one type of atom,
In turn,an atom is the smallest particle an element can be
Divided into.
7.
CRYSTAL STRUCTURE
If you look very closely at the particles of ice that make up frost,
You maybe notice that they have smooth, and a flat surfaces.
8.
CRYSTAL STRUCTURE
Did you know each mineral has its own type of crystal structure and the
Meaning of structure is a clear transparent mineral or glass resembling ice.
Diamonds are extremely hard and have brilliant sparkle in its structure.
In nature, a perfect crystal is rare one can grow only when a
Mineral is free to form in a open space.
