How are chemical insecticides affecting the ground water in todays society?

  • Chemical insecticides affects the ground water in today's society by causing pesticides they are found in steams and wells in the US and Canada.

Compare chemical methods of control to biological methods of control?

  • Both are integrated pest management strategy. Biological methods of control are also referred to as antagonist. They use natural substances to control insects and weeds. While chemical methods of controls are also referred to as methods of microbial control. They use specific chemical agents that grow of kill microbes on fomites or the surface of skin. It can damage the cells or tissues of the organism and microbe.

Explain three ways you could limit pesticide use on the farm?

  • You could create habitats around your farm that attracts beneficial insects. Invest in bug trappers such as the Amazing Honey Trap Queen that attracts and kills annoying yellow jackets. Using methods like this catches annoying pest and doesn't have a negative effect on the environment.

Summarize the importance of IPM in today’s agriculture world?

  • IPM stands for integrated pest management and it job is to eliminate annoying pest by focusing on the root of the problem. This is important because they eliminate the pest without affecting our environment.
