  • Glaciers advanced / retreated

Ice Age

  • Glaciations, were huge sheets of ice
  • Covered whole states or more

Glaciers are:

  • Slow moving
  • Snow accumulates over a long time
  • Slides on a "sole" of melt

Erosion

  • Glaciers tear up the surface
  • Carry rocks and debris
  • Deposit further away

  • Glaciers cause striations and grooves in the surface rock.
