The distance is 140 million miles away from the sun.

ON MARS WE HOPE TO LEARN...

MORE ABOUT THE SOLOR SYTEM AND MORE ABOUT MARS AND STUDY THINGS FROM MARS TO MAKE MANY DISCOVERIES

MY TEAM AND I DECIDED THAT WE NEEDED...

A CONTROL ROOM TO CONTROL THE SHIP, A STORGE ROOM, ROVERS, LANDING PODS, PARACHUTES, AND EXTRA FOOD, SUITS AND WATER.

PARACHUTES ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE SPACECRAFT BECAUSE...

IT HELPS THEM LAND SAFTLY INSTEAD OF THEM RIDING A MILLION MILES AN HOUR.

All three of my groups changed different things, but the one thing we never changed was the 150 load.

My first group made one like everyone else which was, a large canopy (a coffee filter), a large suspension line (string) , and my load.

My second group made one like this a large coffee filter as the canopy, large suspension lines and the load.

My third group made it with a large fabric canopy, large suspension lines and the load.

My group's final parachute was a large plastic canopy, medium suspension lines and the load.

Group #1- 1.91, 2.13, 1.86
Group #2- 2.46, 2.13, 2.19
Group #3- 1.21, 1.25, 1.18

AN EXTRA LARGE PLASTIC BAG CANOPY, 15 IN. SUSPENSION LINES AND 150 LOAD

MY DESIGN WOULD BE...

The thing that I felt stood out to me in my learning was when we did the planet bar when we decided which planet we were gonna land on. I learned that Earth is 70% water and that Uranus has a very strong magnetic field.

Another thing that stood out to me during my learning was the variables. I never knew how variables worked and I learned that you can change one thing and that is your independent variable.
