WHY I CHOSE MARS?
The temperature is on mars is the closest to earths.
Its atmosphere is not too thick or thin to enter.
The planet isn't to far to travel to.
The surface of mars is rocky so it is possible to land on.
3.
CRITERIA OF MY SPACESHIP
The spaceship needs to fly to mars safetly.
It needs to be able to be able to land safetly
The spaceship can't be to big.

In my final spaceship I only have fuel, an engine, a rover, and a parachute. I made this changes because we still do not have the technology to send humans to mars we can only send rovers.

PARACHUTES
To slow down in landing.
A canopy
Suspension line
The load
8.

18 inch diameter canopy
12 inch suspension lines
Double coated canopy

WHAT I LEARNED ALONG THE WAY
We are still a long time away from humans going to mars.
There is a packing score for the parachute.
Long suspension lines make parachutes fall slower
