Mars Habibitable?
I CHOSE MARS BECAUSE MARS IS FULL OF CARBON DIOXIDE AND WE CAN PLANT PLANTS AND WAIT FOR OXGEN TO FILL MARS AND THEN WE WOULD BE ABLE TO SURVIVE WITHOUT SUITS ON MARS AND THEY SAY THAT THERE USE TO BE WATER ON MARS AND THERE IS A BIG CHANCE THAT IS TRUE
Criteria
We had to work around astroids and what tools we need to explore mars
Draft 1
My first draft was meant to just fly around in space but I made it so it could go to MARS!
Draft 2
I made these improvements because we had to use parts of are teams designs so I made these simple changes.
Final Draft
This draft is the same as the 2nd one except for one little part the rover came out of
Parachute
Parachutes were made to create drag so the bigger it is the slower it will be. It depends on the canopy size and the suspension line length to slow our spacecraft down.
Canopy Size
We kept the suspension lines the same but we changed the size of the canopy and the bigger the slower.
The Testing
We test our last parachute and are group is making a plastic parachute that has a diameter of 18"for the canopy and the length of 17 for suspension lines. Our average time is 3.44and are packing score is 149.
What did we learn❓
We learned that parachutes are a great way to slow something down. We also learned that if we have water and plant plants on Mars we have a chance we would survive.
