PRESENTATION OUTLINE

WHY ARE MOA EXTINCT

The Moa were indigenous to New Zealand but most New Zealanders these days would have not seen a Moa apart from on pictures.

So as we know the Moa are now extinct because of hunting by the Maori a long time ago. But if it had not been for these birds then the Maori May have found it very hard to survive.

This is because Moa were an animal that lived on the ground and were easy for the Maori to kill with their semi basic weapons. The Maori needed the Moa to survive or helpless development.
