• Dr. Martin Cooper made the first call on a portable phone in april 1973.
• Bell Laboratories introduced the idea of cellular communications in 1947
• In 1979, the first commercial cellular telephone system began in Toyko

EVOLUTION OF MOBILE PHONES

• The first mobile phone was the DynaTAC 8000x (1983)
• Then came the first Blackberry, the Pager 950 (1998)
• After that, the first iPhone was released (2007)
• And now, the iPhone 6 has just been released (9/19/14)
