ST. MARCELLIN CHAMPANAT FACTS

• He was raised during the Frence Revolution
• St. Marcellin was ordained a priest July 2, 1816
• He founded the Marist Brothers in 1817
• Combated illiteracy and spiritual poverty
• St. Marcellin went to school for one day and hated it because he saw someone get beat for not knowing the right answer
• The new version is better to be able too many
• When he when to the seminary for the first time he got kicked out because he didn't know how to read or write and then when he went back he worked really hard and the founded the Marist Brothers and created our high school

ST. MARCILLEN STORYS

• In the story in the snow story is when Marcillen and another guy was lost out in the bitter cold and there was a guy with a cabin near by and when the guy with the cabin came out he saved Marcillen and the other guy
• The montage experience is when St. Marcillen went to a little boys house because he was dying and Marcillen realized the boy had little to no experience of a catholic religion. Afterwards the little boy died and this moved Marcillen. He then came up with the Marist brothers and thought everyone a good faith.
• He was canonized by Pope John Paul II on April 18, 1999.
